Changelog

Every release, dated.

What actually shipped in each version of the SEO extension for Chrome. Versions still in review are labelled as such rather than counted as shipped.

  1. 3.2

    In review

Packaged for the Chrome Web Store. Not yet live, so the version you install today is still 3.0.

    • New check, "Page or section?", under Explore then Structure. For each query the page receives it says whether one of your pages already owns it, whether two pages should fold together, or whether nothing covers it.
    • Every call names the pages and shows its numbers: impressions per page, share of the query, mention counts, and the two periods compared.
    • A new-page call now requires demand in two Search Console periods, so a one-period spike produces no call at all.
    • Most queries get no call. A footer line accounts for every query checked and says why each was passed over.
    • Contrast fix across the interface: the muted text colour failed WCAG AA in the light theme at 2.66 against a 4.5 minimum. Now 5.05.
    • Plainer wording throughout. Findings now name the page and end with the action.
  2. 3.1

    Superseded by 3.2

Never published. Its changes ship inside 3.2.

    • Popup reduced to four tabs, with a merged dimension switcher and a verdict shown before the detail.
    • Competitor audit mode: run the on-page and GEO checks against a page you do not own.
    • Audit export to Markdown or JSON, carrying each row's own citation into a Sources list.
    • Since-last-audit snapshots, so a re-run shows what moved instead of a fresh number.
    • Title and meta drafts pass a five-check vet gate before display; zero survivors is reported honestly.
    • Analysis honesty fixes: the traffic verdict is significance-gated, and the dead topical-authority scorer is gone.
  3. 3.0

    Live now

The version currently published on the Chrome Web Store.

    • Usage analytics became an explicit opt-in toggle, off by default.
    • Page-content reads guard against a stale install and surface the injection error instead of failing silently.
    • Optional Gemini suggestions run on your own API key.
  4. 2.1

    GEO tab hardening.

    • Passage retrievability reported as a percentage.
    • Score weights tied to published effect sizes.
    • Hidden-instruction linter, which flags text hidden on the page that reads as instructions to an AI.
  5. 2.0

The release that made the audit readable at a glance.

    • Audit opens in a full tab, escaping the popup height cap.
    • Two-line comparison chart with a previous-period overlay, off by default.
    • "What the AI crawler sees" diff, plus last-crawl date from index status.
    • Toolbar badge counts decaying queries.
    • Theme-adaptive toolbar icon, light and dark toggle, and the current brand mark.
    • Six additive signals added to the semantic engines, including subset merge and heading placement.
  6. 1.4 to 1.9

    to

A rebuild sprint after the project sat idle for most of two years. Fixes in this window include a zombie session on a failed token refresh, a blank coverage panel, and Indonesian pages that reported the wrong language.

  7. 1.0 to 1.3

    to

The original build: Google Search Console performance for the page you are viewing, read over read-only OAuth.

How this page is kept

Shipped means shipped.

Dates come from the release history and from the Chrome Web Store listing itself. A version that is packaged but not yet published is marked "in review" and is never described as available. If a feature was removed, it is listed as removed.
